Elon Musk Tops 2026 Billionaire Rankings with $839 Billion

According to Forbes' world billionaire list released on Tuesday, Elon Musk is ranked as the richest person in the world for 2026, with an estimated fortune of $839 billion. Musk, a 54-year-old entrepreneur, has amassed his wealth through ventures such as Tesla, SpaceX, and his artificial intelligence startup, XAI.

The rankings underscore the significant influence of the technology sector in shaping modern wealth, as seven out of the top ten richest individuals derive their fortunes from technology-related enterprises. Following Musk, the list includes Larry Page with $257 billion and Sergey Brin with $237 billion, both from Google.

Other notable billionaires include Jeff Bezos ($224 billion, Amazon), Mark Zuckerberg ($222 billion, Meta), and Larry Ellison ($190 billion, Oracle). Bernard Arnault's family holds $171 billion from LVMH, while Jensen Huang of Nvidia has $154 billion.

Warren Buffett and Amancio Ortega round out the top ten with $149 billion and $148 billion, respectively.
