UBA Graduates 374 Young Professionals from GMAP

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc announced the graduation and induction of 374 young professionals from its Graduate Management Accelerator Programme (GMAP). This cohort includes 223 women and 151 men, with 345 graduates from UBA’s Nigerian operations and 29 from Guinea, Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, Zambia, and Côte d’Ivoire.

The total number of GMAP graduates has now exceeded 5,000. GMAP is designed to equip young professionals with technical knowledge, practical exposure, and professional experience necessary for successful careers in banking.

The program includes mentorship, classroom learning, and hands-on training in areas such as product design and customer experience. UBA Group Chairman Tony Elumelu emphasized the importance of developing the next generation of professionals for the bank's long-term success and urged graduates to prioritize customer service as a competitive advantage.

UBA Group Managing Director and CEO Oliver Alawuba described the graduates' certificates as a commission to excel in their careers and encouraged them to embrace every opportunity for excellence.
