UBA Graduates 374 Young Leaders from GMAP Initiative

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) recently held a graduation ceremony for its Graduate Management Accelerator Programme (GMAP), marking the completion of Cohort 21. A total of 374 young professionals graduated, including 345 from Nigeria and 29 from UBA operations in Guinea, Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, Zambia, and Côte d’Ivoire.
The event took place at the Landmark Events Centre in Lagos and highlighted the diversity of the graduating class, which comprised 223 women and 151 men. UBA's initiative aims to develop skilled leaders capable of navigating the interconnected African economy.
Graduates, like Thomas from Zambia, expressed their commitment to applying the lessons learned in their home countries. UBA Group Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Oliver Alawuba, urged graduates to view their certificates as the start of their responsibilities in the workforce, emphasizing the importance of collaboration across different cultures and experiences.
