Ooni Ogunwusi Sprays Cash at Olojo Festival 2026 Event

During the Olojo Festival 2026 grand reception at Ile Ife Palace on September 27, 2026, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi was seen in high spirits as he sprayed bundles of cash on his queens while they danced. The event marked Day 3 of the festival, which included the Ojo Ajoyo ceremony and a grand reception for guests and subjects after the ceremonial rites.

A notable moment occurred when Queen Mariam, after receiving cash from Oba Ogunwusi, chose not to keep it but instead passed it to Queen Temitope for equitable distribution among all the queens present. This gesture garnered widespread admiration online, with many viewers interpreting it as a lesson in leadership and maturity within a polygamous royal household.

The video emerged amidst earlier clips that had suggested tension among the queens during the festival, contrasting with the warm interactions captured in this footage.
