Fury vs Joshua Fight Proposal at Wembley Stadium

A boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could be held at Wembley Stadium, with a proposed late-night start time to cater to a global audience, particularly in the United States. Turki Alalshikh, a stakeholder in the event, expressed the desire for the fight to take place in England, emphasizing the importance of timing for U.S. viewership.

London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan confirmed to BBC Sport that the proposal is feasible, but it requires a formal request and approval from Brent Council to potentially change the usual curfew of 11 PM. The council's safety advisory group will assess the request.

Previous boxing events in Britain have been scheduled around U.S. television markets, such as Ricky Hatton's fight in June 2005 and Joe Calzaghe's bouts in 2006 and 2007. Eddie Hearn, representing Joshua, dismissed speculation about the fight being staged in the U.S., confirming that there is a current agreement for the bout to take place in the United Kingdom.

Fury is set to return to the ring later this month against Mariusz Wach, while Joshua will face Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.
