Galatasaray Enlists Osimhen to Attract Lookman Transfer

Galatasaray has approached Victor Osimhen, the 27-year-old striker, to help convince fellow Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman to transfer to the club this summer. Lookman, who is currently playing for Atalanta, has been linked with a move to Atlético Madrid, where he has impressed with five goals and four assists in 24 appearances.

Atlético Madrid is reportedly interested in Lookman, who has a market value of €35 million. Galatasaray faces challenges in this pursuit, as Atlético Madrid has already lost Antoine Griezmann and is reluctant to sanction any high-profile departures.

Lookman's versatility is appealing to Atlético's coach Diego Simeone, but financial obstacles, including Lookman's higher salary demands compared to Galatasaray's current pay structure, complicate the situation. Osimhen's relationship with Galatasaray is known, as he arrived on loan in the 2024-25 season with a permanent move completed last summer for €75 million.
