Galatasaray's Özbek Rejects Arsenal's Interest in Osimhen

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has issued a strong warning to Arsenal regarding the potential transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, stating that the Turkish champions have no intention of selling him. Arsenal has shown interest in Osimhen as they seek to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

Initial discussions between Arsenal and Galatasaray revolved around Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli, with a £38.5 million offer made for him. During negotiations, Osimhen's availability was also mentioned, but it remains unclear if Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta initiated the discussion about Osimhen. Özbek made it clear in an interview with 343 Digital that Galatasaray will not entertain any offers for Osimhen, saying, “I will not sell Osimhen no matter how much money it is.” This statement follows Galatasaray's rejection of a €130 million (£111 million) offer from Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal for Osimhen, highlighting his significance to the club after his successful tenure in Istanbul.
