Galatasaray Confirms Victor Osimhen's Injury Ahead of AFCON

Galatasaray has announced that Victor Osimhen, a striker for the Super Eagles, is not fully fit despite being included in Nigeria's squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Osimhen sustained an injury during a challenging 3-2 victory over Istanbul Baakehir and has since missed Galatasaray's last two matches against Kocaelispor and Sporting Lisbon.

The club confirmed that Osimhen will also be unavailable for their upcoming match against Trabzonspor as he continues his recovery. Alongside Osimhen, Mario Lemina, Wilfried Singo, and Kaan Ayhan are also undergoing treatment and will not participate in the Trabzonspor match.

Despite this setback, Osimhen has had an impressive start to the season, scoring six goals and providing two assists in his first four league appearances.
