Ganduje Assures Governor Yusuf of APC Ticket for Second Term in Kano State

Governor Ganduje of Kano State has assured Governor Yusuf of the APC ticket for a second term, allowing him a free run for the party's ticket in the 2027 governorship election. This assurance was given during an official defection ceremony where Governor Yusuf officially defected to the APC.

Governor Yusuf, in response, announced the establishment of the Kano State Elder Council to serve as a non-partisan advisory body. This move comes amidst earlier reports emphasizing Governor Abba Yusuf's loyalty to the people of Kano State.

Governor Yusuf also declared that he and any aspirant contesting for the APC governorship ticket in 2023 agree not to contest against each other in 2027.
