Ganduje Guarantees Abba Yusuf APC Ticket for Kano Governorship in 2027

In a political development in Kano State, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has assured the current Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, of winning the APC ticket for the 2027 governorship election.

Yusuf, who recently resigned from the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) and rejoined the APC, received a warm welcome back to the party on Monday, January 26, 2026. Ganduje emphasized the importance of Yusuf's return, stating that it would strengthen the party in the state and ensure victory in the upcoming elections.

Ganduje also declared that Yusuf would automatically become the leader of the APC in Kano State, receiving equal treatment within the party. The defection of Governor Yusuf and several other party members has triggered a political realignment in Kano State, with significant defections from other parties to the APC.
