Ganduje and Badaru Meet Tinubu at Aso Rock Villa

On Tuesday, Abdullahi Ganduje, the former national chairman of the APC, and Badaru Abubakar, a former Minister of Defence, met with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock Villa in Abuja. Ganduje, who served as the APC national chairman from August 2023 until July 2025, resigned from his position to be succeeded by Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, with the formal election scheduled for the party's 4th national convention on March 27, 2026.

Both Ganduje and Badaru, who served as governors of Kano and Jigawa states respectively from 2015 to 2023, left the state house shortly after their meeting, with Ganduje departing around 4:15 PM and Badaru 15 minutes later. They declined to speak to journalists regarding the purpose of their visit.

The meeting is believed to be part of ongoing consultations related to party reorganization following a recent APC national convention that elected new national officers, highlighting their influential roles within the party and their close political ties to President Tinubu.
