Ganduje Withdraws Plan to Establish Independent Hisbah in Kano Amid Public Outcry

Former Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reversed his decision to create an independent Hisbah group in Kano State after facing criticism.

The move came after consultations with stakeholders and the Department of State Services (DSS). The decision to suspend the establishment of the Hisbah group aims to address concerns through dialogue and maintain peace in the state.

Ganduje reaffirmed commitment to security cooperation and respecting the existing Hisbah board's operations.
