Ganduje Withdraws Plan to Establish Private Hisbah in Kano for Peace

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has decided to withdraw the proposal to create an independent Hisbah command in Kano, named Hisbah Fisabilillahi. The move was made in the interest of peace and coexistence in the state.

Ganduje's decision followed a meeting involving representatives from the 44 local government areas of Kano State, including key stakeholders like the Department of State Services (DSS). The aim is to preserve peace and stability in the state by allowing for a review of the plan and addressing concerns through dialogue and mutual understanding.

The Kano State Government has also issued an executive order banning the establishment of Ganduje's independent Hisbah.
