Fani-Kayode Critiques Disorganized ADC Convention

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister, publicly mocked the recent convention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), labeling it a gathering of "desperate jackals" yearning for a return to power. He criticized the organization of the event, describing it as disorganized and lacking credibility.

Fani-Kayode recounted the poor coordination and internal disunity within the ADC faction, noting that attendees appeared uncomfortable due to inadequate facilities, including a lack of proper air conditioning. He described the atmosphere as chaotic, with participants sweating profusely and engaging in loud arguments, which at one point escalated to physical altercations.

He emphasized that the convention, which he referred to as a "street convention," failed to present the ADC as a serious political party. Fani-Kayode concluded that the ADC was not positioned to make any significant political impact in future elections.
