Champion Newspapers Honors Excellence at 2025 Awards

On March 14, 2025, Champion Newspapers hosted its annual awards ceremony at Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, honoring over 50 individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to Nigeria's development. The event featured remarks from Otunba Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, and Aremo Olusegun Osoba, who served as the special guest of honor.

Among the awardees, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo was recognized as Governor of the Year for Youth Development and Security, while Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu received the Star Performer Award. Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd), representing the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, was awarded Man of the Year.

Other notable winners included Dr. Adaora Umeoji as Banker of the Year and Access Bank as Bank of the Year. The ceremony celebrated exemplary leadership and innovation across various sectors, emphasizing the resilience of Champion Newspapers in the media industry.
