Experts Call for Gender Centers in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions to Combat Gender-Based Violence

Experts, including Dr. Safiya Ahmad Nuhu from Bayero University Kano, emphasized the need for gender centers in Nigerian tertiary institutions to tackle gender-based violence and advance gender equality in academia.

The Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU), represented by Mr. Joi Ambros Ezirim, supports this initiative to enhance collaboration and funding opportunities.

The goal is to ensure policy enforcement, create safe spaces for students, and hold perpetrators of gender-based violence accountable.
