Geregu Power Plc Pays 8th Coupon on Series 1 Fixed Rate Bond

Geregu Power Plc has disclosed to the Nigerian Exchange Limited that the 8th coupon and a part principal repayment due under its ₦40,085,000,000 Series 1 Fixed Rate Bond have been paid to the Trustees. The filing, dated 20th August 2026, also references legacy matters pre-dating the current Board that the company says are being resolved.
Geregu Power Plc (GEREGU) has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public that the 8th coupon payment and a part principal repayment under its ₦40,085,000,000 (Forty Billion, Eighty-five Million Naira) Series 1 Fixed Rate Bond have been made to the Trustees. The Bond was issued under the company's Bond Issuance Programme.
In the disclosure dated 20th August 2026, the Board of Directors stated that ongoing legacy matters pre-dating the current Board are being resolved and confirmed that this process has not affected the company's ability to meet its bond obligations.
The Board acknowledged the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission, the Nigerian Exchange Limited, and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission for their engagement during the resolution process. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to full compliance with its outstanding obligations going forward.
The disclosure was made in compliance with the Rules of the Nigerian Exchange Limited and was signed off by the Company Secretary at The Structure HQ.
