German Embassy in Abuja Opens Applications for Political Role

The German Embassy in Abuja has announced a vacancy for a full-time administrative officer within its political department, as detailed on its website. The embassy is seeking a case worker to join its political unit, with a weekly schedule of 40 hours.

Employment is expected to commence soon, with the position initially limited to one year but with the prospect of permanent employment for successful candidates. Responsibilities include tracking media reports across various platforms, maintaining a network of political stakeholders, supporting diplomatic engagements, organizing political events and conferences, and conducting research on political, economic, and social issues.

Applicants must possess at least a bachelor's degree in law, economics, political science, international relations, or related disciplines, with language requirements of a minimum C1 level proficiency in English and B2 level proficiency in German. Interested candidates are urged to send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and academic certificates via email by April 30, 2026.
