These regulated professions include healthcare, legal advisory services, state school teaching, master craftwork, and engineering roles that use the title "engineer." This requirement is applicable to all applicants, regardless of whether they are from the European Union or non-EU countries.

For non-EU professionals, full recognition of foreign qualifications is essential for obtaining a visa for qualified professionals or an EU Blue Card, which are crucial pathways into the German labor market. Germany offers a tool called "Anerkennung in," enabling prospective workers to verify if their profession is regulated.

If confirmed, applicants must initiate a recognition procedure through the appropriate German authority. Additionally, those who achieve full recognition can benefit from the Opportunity Card, a points-based visa that allows skilled workers to seek employment in Germany without needing to accumulate points.
