Ghana Arrests 48 Nigerians for Cybercrimes After Deporting 42, Security Agencies Crack Down

Ghanaian security agencies have arrested 48 Nigerians suspected of engaging in romance scams, online investment fraud, and cyber-related offenses. This crackdown comes after the recent deportation of 42 Nigerians from the Ashanti region for alleged involvement in prostitution and fraud-related crimes.

The arrests were made during a coordinated security operation in Dawhenya within the Ningo Prampram Constituency. Items seized during the operation include laptops, mobile phones, internet devices, and routers.

The suspects are currently in custody pending further investigation and possible prosecution under Ghanaian law.
