Ghanaian Lawyer Sarah Tettei Dies Celebrating World Cup Win

Sarah Araba Tettei, a 26-year-old lawyer, reportedly collapsed and died during post-match celebrations for Ghana's victory over Panama in the FIFA World Cup. The incident occurred on Wednesday at a private hostel in Bomso, near Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where Tettei was watching the match with friends.

She was an alumna of the university's Faculty of Law and had called the Ghana Bar Association earlier in the year to practice as a legal consultant. Following her collapse, she was rushed to the hospital, but despite medical personnel's efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead.

The news of her death has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with friends, colleagues, and former classmates mourning the loss of the promising young lawyer. As of the time of reporting, no official statement had been issued by her family regarding the circumstances surrounding her death, and her body was reported to be deposited at a mortuary pending further arrangements.
