Ghanian Singer, Shatta Wale Detained Over Tax Issue Linked To Lamborghini

Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has been detained due to a tax issue linked to his yellow Lamborghini, which was seized by US authorities claiming it is connected to a criminal network run by another Ghanaian, Nana Kwabena Amuah. Amuah is currently serving a prison sentence in the US for defrauding multiple organizations through a vendor impersonation scam.

Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah, reportedly surrendered voluntarily to the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) on Wednesday. His management clarified that the detention is related to a tax obligation and denied any link to the US fraud allegations against him.

Shatta Wale described himself as the owner of the car but claimed he was unaware it was shipped to Ghana and expected it to be returned to the US to assist in compensating Amuah's victims. The singer, known for his international recognition from working with Beyoncé on the 2019 hit song "Already," urged.
