Globacom Celebrates Ofala Festival with Igwe Achebe

Globacom hosted a royal banquet for Igwe Achebe to mark the grand finale of the 2026 Ofala Festival. The event, attended by the monarch, his cabinet, Globacom’s trade partners, and high-net-worth customers, highlighted the importance of corporate partnerships in preserving Nigeria's cultural legacy.

Mike Ehumadu, Globacom’s Divisional Head for the South-East, congratulated Igwe Achebe and the organizing committee for the successful celebration. The evening featured vibrant performances from artists such as Aniweta Mazeli, Boy o Boy, and the Groove Band, along with comedian MC Ezegetive.

Globacom recognized the competitive spirit of Onitsha age grades by awarding cash prizes and trophies to winners of various competitions, as well as distributing hundreds of bags of special Basmati rice to members of the age grade associations. This initiative underscores Globacom's commitment to celebrating Nigeria’s cultural diversity and strengthening community ties.
