GMYT Fashion Academy Inducts 21 New Entrepreneurs

GMYT Fashion Academy held an induction ceremony on May 4, 2026, where 21 emerging entrepreneurs were admitted, marking a significant milestone for the academy. The event was led by Managing Director Dr.

Princess Kelechi Oghen, who continues to champion youth empowerment and capacity building in the fashion industry. Oghen described the induction as a defining moment for the new entrants and urged them to remain focused and passionate as they embark on their journeys in the fashion world.

The ceremony's theme, "Beyond Fashion," aimed to broaden participants' perspectives and equip them with creative skills and entrepreneurial knowledge. Oghen shared her personal journey in the fashion industry, highlighting her dedication to continuous learning and excellence.

She attributed her inspiration to her late mother, a seamstress and serial entrepreneur. GMYT, which stands for "God's Grown," aims to lead fashion education in West Africa and is committed to raising a new generation of entrepreneurs, creating employment opportunities for millions of women and youth globally.

The event featured contributions from industry experts, including Amb. Dr.

Ekwutoziam Ogwu and others.
