Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha Honored at Diocesan Synod

Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha was honored at the 31st Annual Diocesan Synod held on April 24, 2026, by the Methodist Church Nigeria, where she was recognized for her significant contributions to the church and the community.

The event was organized by the Umunneochi Traditional Ruler Council, and she was described as a pillar of the church by the diocesan bishop, Rt. Rev.

K. Tasi.

Onyejeocha has been instrumental in various projects, including the construction of the Christ Methodist Church in Umuehihi and the renovation of St. Matthew Methodist Church in Ezingodo.

Her political career spans over three decades, beginning at the state level and culminating in her role as a member of the Federal House of Representatives from 2007, where she served four consecutive terms. She has sponsored landmark legislation and was appointed Minister of State for Labour and Employment under President Bola Tinubu.

Following a presidential directive, she recently resigned from the cabinet.
