APC Supporters Cleanse Road After Pantami's Campaign Passage
In Kumo, the headquarters of Akko Local Government Area in Gombe State, a group of individuals believed to be supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were recorded in a viral video washing a road. This incident occurred after Isa Ali Pantami, the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), allegedly traveled on that road en route to Kaltungo.
The event took place shortly after Pantami won the PDP's fresh governorship primary in the state. In the video, youths were seen using buckets of water and brooms to wash and sweep the road while chanting that they were cleansing the path used by the PDP candidate.
The action has elicited mixed reactions on social media, with supporters of the PDP condemning it as an act of political intolerance, while APC loyalists praised it as a symbolic rejection of the opposition.
