APC Leaders Join PDP, Back Pantami for 2027 Election

Hon. Ibrahim Adamu Muhammad, known as Uban Dawakin Gombe, and Alhaji Auwalu Alhassan, also known as Chiburosi, have defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State. They have declared their support for the PDP's governorship candidate, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, in anticipation of the 2027 election.

Muhammad previously served as the Deputy Chairman of Gombe Local Government Council, while Alhassan was the Chairman of the Groundnut Oil Millers Association of Gombe State. Their defection was announced in a statement by the Pantamiyya Movement, signed by Prof. Suleiman Mohammed, which highlighted their attraction to Pantami's leadership experience and integrity.

The statement emphasized that their move would bolster the PDP and Pantami’s political structure ahead of the upcoming elections. Additionally, it noted that this development would strengthen the PDP under the leadership of former Gombe governor and current state party leader, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.
