Nigerian Navy Commissions NYSC Lodge and Health Facility

The Nigerian Navy, through its Civil-Military Quick Intervention Projects, commissioned a 10-bedroom furnished NYSC lodge and an upgraded health facility in Gombe. The commissioning was represented by Deputy Governor Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

Jatau commended the Nigerian Navy for its support in community development, emphasizing that the projects would enhance the welfare of residents and National Youth Service Corps members. He noted that these interventions align with the state government's efforts to improve security and living conditions since 2019.

The Deputy Governor also mentioned other Navy projects in Gombe, including solar-powered boreholes. Rear Admiral Mohammad Yakubu Dahiru, representing the Chief of Naval Staff, stated that these projects aim to strengthen civil-military relations and support national development.

Rear Admiral Abdullahi expressed gratitude for the intervention, highlighting the health facility's historical significance and its role in providing healthcare services. He urged community members to protect and maintain the new facilities.
