Gombe State Tricycle Crash Claims Four Lives, Injures Two

On Tuesday, a road crash in Gombe State resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including two children. The accident involved a commercial tricycle, known as Keke Napep, which collided with a water tanker behind the All Progressives Congress square at the Kanani Academy junction.
According to Samson Kaura, the Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander in Gombe State, the crash involved eight people: two adult males, two male children, and four female children. Eyewitness accounts indicated that the tricycle rammed into the tanker from behind.
Although the Federal Road Safety Corps did not conduct the rescue operation due to a late report, Kaura stated that his team visited the Specialist Hospital where the victims were taken. Four people died, while two others sustained injuries, although there was a discrepancy in the reported number of injured individuals.
The victims included schoolchildren from local educational institutions.
