Gombe Governor Dissolves State Executive Council After 2.5 Years

Gombe State Governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has officially dissolved the State Executive Council, marking the end of its tenure after two and a half years. This decision was announced during a press briefing held yesterday at the State Government Secretariat by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof.

Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi. During the 53rd session of the State Executive Council, Governor Yahaya expressed profound gratitude to the outgoing council members for their dedication and sacrifices, which he acknowledged had positively impacted the lives of citizens.

He directed that the commission handle affairs related to the ministries and permanent secretaries until April 10, 2026, to ensure the continuity of government administration and stability. The governor also expressed confidence in the council members' future contributions to the growth and development of Gombe State and the nation at large.
