PDP Confirms Goodluck Jonathan Yet to Approach Party for Candidacy

The PDP confirmed that former President Goodluck Jonathan has not formally approached the party to express his intention to contest. The party emphasized its inclusive platform for all eligible members to aspire to office in line with party guidelines and the Nigerian Constitution.

The Chairman of the PDP in Abia State, Abraham Amah, stated that while Jonathan has the right to contest, the decision ultimately rests with the party's delegate convention. The party reiterated its commitment to free and fair elections, noting that the choice of a presidential candidate will be determined through a transparent process.
