Google Launches AI Mode in Search for Nigerians, Kenya, Others

Google has launched an AI Mode in Search for users in Nigeria, Kenya, and other African countries. The new tool, powered by the Google Gemini AI model, aims to provide more accurate and detailed responses to user queries.

This update allows users to engage with Search using text, voice, or images, making it easier to find information on various topics. The AI Mode divides user queries into subtopics and performs multiple searches simultaneously to provide highly relevant results that traditional searches might overlook.

This feature will appear in a new tab within the Google app on iOS and Android smartphones. Additionally, WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has introduced new features to help users spot dubious contacts and prevent fraud on the platform.

These changes are part of a larger effort to combat coordinated scams and illegal activities on messaging networks.
