Google Commits $9m for African Universities' Connectivity Boost

Google has pledged a $9 million investment in Africa to enhance connectivity across universities, focusing on empowering the next generation with Artificial Intelligence skills. The investment includes free subscription plans for college students aged 18 and above in countries like Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

This initiative aims to deepen international connectivity, foster economic growth, and expand innovation capacity in Africa. The investment will create a new digital corridor within the continent, benefiting young Africans by providing access to learning, innovation, and skill training opportunities.
