Gospel Cinema Launches Africa Gospel Film Project to Strengthen Christian Filmmaking in Africa

Gospel Cinema International has introduced the Africa Gospel Film Project (AGFP) to bolster Christian filmmaking in Africa. The initiative seeks to empower Christian filmmakers by offering professional training, spiritual guidance, and access to international distribution channels.

The multi-year program will focus on equipping participants with relevant industry skills and promoting value-based storytelling. The first phase of the project will commence with a six-day filmmaking and spiritual formation program in Nigeria from April 13 to 18, 2026.

Participants will also engage in producing an eight-episode faith-based television series. Bright Wonder Obasi, the President of Gospel Cinema International, emphasized the project's goal of influencing culture and inspiring faith globally through high-quality Christian content.

The AGFP aims to nurture talent, foster collaboration, and contribute to the development of faith-driven films in Africa and beyond.
