Gov Adeleke Reaffirms No Security Vote Policy, Sustains Security Services Through Budgetary Process

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has reiterated his administration's commitment to sustaining security services through the budgetary process, emphasizing that there is no security vote in the state. Adeleke stated that all security expenditures are carried out within the confines of public finance laws and regulations, including operational support for security agencies and funding for initiatives like the state security outfit, Amotekun.

He highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in spending, noting that every kobo must be used to address developmental challenges and prioritize key sectors like infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare. Adeleke also mentioned the creation of a special project account to manage unexpected inflows and ensure the completion of ongoing infrastructure projects.

The governor reassured the people of Osun that his administration remains focused on completing projects and meeting the needs of the state.
