Gov Otu Engages Northern Cross River in Development Tour

Governor Bassey Edet Otu recently conducted a tour of Northern Cross River, engaging with stakeholders in Obanliku, Obudu, Bekwarra, and Ogoja. The tour focused on critical issues such as infrastructure, education, and economic development.

In Ogoja, Otu listened to community concerns regarding roads, bridges, electricity, and the proposed medical university, emphasizing that development should reflect community realities. He highlighted the significance of reconnecting communities through infrastructure, stating that bridges serve as vital links for commerce and healthcare.

Otu also addressed the revival of the Okuku International Market, which he views as essential for restoring the region's economic vitality. In Bekwarra, he assured equitable distribution of infrastructure projects.

The tour culminated in Mbube during the New Yam Festival, where Otu celebrated local heritage with the community, reinforcing his commitment to addressing their needs and aspirations.
