Otu Promises Infrastructure and Power Improvements for Cross River North

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State engaged with political leaders and stakeholders at the Ogoja Local Government Council headquarters, addressing urgent government interventions in infrastructure, education, electricity, and economic development for the Northern Senatorial District. Otu emphasized the importance of addressing critical issues such as roads, bridges, the proposed university, and the revival of the Okuku International Market.

He assured that urgent and high-impact projects would be prioritized, stating, “Government must listen to the people and work towards solutions that will improve their lives.” Otu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to establishing a university in Cross River North, noting that significant progress has been made despite regulatory requirements. He also highlighted the revival of the Okuku International Market as a strategic economic asset and discussed ongoing road projects to reconnect farmers and traders.

On electricity, Otu mentioned that his administration is engaging relevant authorities to tackle power supply challenges, which are crucial for industrialization.
