Gov Oyebanji backs 17.5km Ikogosi Road Race

Governor Oyebanji has shown support for the 17.5km Ikogosi Road Race, stating that it is part of efforts to reposition Ekiti United and Ekiti Queens football clubs, as well as upgrade key sporting facilities in the state. The race, organized by the Ikogosi Marathon Initiative, aims to draw athletes, tourists, and investors from around the world, boosting local commerce and hospitality.

The event will also provide training opportunities for 500 youths in various fields, including volunteering, artisan work, and small business management. The race will take place in the scenic terrain of Ilawe and Ikogosi Warm Springs, showcasing the natural beauty and improved infrastructure of Ekiti State.

Governor Oyebanji emphasized the state's readiness to become a global tourism destination and attract investment in adventure sports.
