Uba Sani Restores Christian Pilgrimage in Kaduna State

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced the restoration of the Christian pilgrimage program, which had been suspended for 11 years. This decision was made public during a speech on the 2025 orientation program, where Sani expressed the intention to sponsor 50 Christian pilgrims.

This move marks Kaduna State as the first in Nigeria to resume state-sponsored Christian pilgrimages after a decade-long hiatus. Jimami C.

Bako, the head of service, praised the governor for reintroducing the program, emphasizing its importance in fostering spiritual growth and moral values, which complement physical infrastructure and economic development. The administration aims to reflect leadership values and promote peace and social harmony through this initiative.

Additionally, the commission informed that Ahm Maiyaki has initiated efforts aligned with the administration's commitment to justice, equity, and inclusivity for residents, regardless of their religious affiliations.
