CAN Praises Governor Uba Sani, Urges Pilgrimage Restoration

During a Ramadan Iftar hosted by Governor Uba Sani at the government house, the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, represented by Rev. Caleb Ma Aji, commended the governor and prayed for his leadership.

Rev. Ma Aji recalled a previous request for the restoration of government sponsorship for Christian pilgrimages to Jerusalem, which had been suspended since 2015.

He noted that 49 people had traveled to Jerusalem last year, and the governor assured that he would investigate the reasons behind the suspension of the official sponsorship. The governor expressed his commitment to restoring Kaduna State's past glory, emphasizing the need for peace among different ethnic and religious groups.

Bishop Joseph Yari, former chairman of the Kaduna State Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, also praised the governor's efforts and reiterated the importance of restoring pilgrimage sponsorship. The event highlighted the significance of interfaith dialogue and cooperation during Ramadan.
