Akwa Ibom Governor Appoints New Head of Service, Sacks Two Aides

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has appointed Mr. Elsi Peter as the new Head of Service, succeeding Mr.

Effiong Essien who retired from service. The announcement was made by Mr.

Enobong Uwah, the Secretary to the State Government, in a statement released in Uyo. In a separate development, Governor Eno also dismissed two aides, including Mr.

Joseph Ikpak, Senior Special Assistant for Support Services, and Mr. Felix Ekuri, Special Assistant for Neighbourhood Watch.

The changes were effective immediately.
