Gov Zulum pledges support for wounded soldiers, families of fallen heroes

Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has pledged his administration's unwavering support for wounded soldiers and the families of fallen heroes. During a meeting with the President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Lilian Christopher Musa, Governor Zulum emphasized the government's commitment to providing assistance to injured personnel and the families of military and police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

He acknowledged the challenges faced by troops in their duty stations and stressed the importance of giving personnel the opportunity to reunite with their families. The Governor commended the military for their sacrifices in restoring stability in the region and assured continued government support.

Mrs. Musa also briefed the Governor on the "Thank Troops" campaign, an initiative aimed at honoring frontline soldiers and providing support to their families, which has received praise for the state government's assistance to widows, orphans, and dependents of fallen personnel.
