Governor Adeleke, Osun PDP Collapse Structure For Tinubu Ahead Of 2027

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state have announced their support for President Bola Tinubu's potential bid for the 2027 presidential election. Governor Adeleke, who had initially planned to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), decided to remain in the PDP after facing opposition from key members of the party.

In a stakeholder meeting, Adeleke and other PDP leaders endorsed Tinubu for a second term and reaffirmed their support for Adeleke in the 2026 governorship election. The PDP in Osun State emphasized the importance of local politics and grassroots support in shaping political decisions.

The party declared that as Tinubu's ancestral home, they recognize him as a viable candidate for the presidency in 2027.
