Governor Eno Enhances Support for Security Agencies in Akwa Ibom

On September 15, 2026, Governor Eno of Akwa Ibom received Rashid Afegbua, the new Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 6, during a courtesy visit at Government House in Uyo. The Governor expressed appreciation for the dedication and synergy of security agencies in the state, which he noted had significantly contributed to the peace enjoyed by residents.

He welcomed AIG Afegbua and expressed optimism that his leadership would strengthen the security architecture in the region. Governor Eno also praised the State Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Muhammad Azare, for his proactive security management and collaboration with other agencies and the community.
