Governor Fintiri Vows Justice for Slain Lamurde Women Amid Clashes

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has pledged justice for the slain Lamurde women after clashes in the Lamurde local government area. The governor announced plans to set up a judicial panel of inquiry to investigate the December 7 shooting incident, allegedly involving security agents.

The violence erupted during a dispute over land between the youth of the Bachama and Tsobo communities. Efforts are being made to restore harmony, with support provided to the affected communities by various agencies.

District head Pwahomakai Joseph appealed for government action to achieve lasting peace.
