Mutfwang Meets Ex-Govs to Tackle Plateau Insecurity

On Wednesday, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State held a high-level meeting with former governors to discuss the escalating insecurity in the state. This meeting was prompted by recent violent attacks, particularly in Anguwan Rukuba, which have resulted in the deaths of hundreds, including women and children.

The gathering took place at the Government House in Little Rayfield and included notable figures such as former governors Simon Bako Lalong, Jonah David Jang, Joshua Chibi Dariye, and retired military administrator Samuel Bitru Atukum. During the closed-door session, Mutfwang emphasized the need for a thorough examination of issues affecting the welfare and development of Plateau residents, particularly in light of the recent surge in violence.

The leaders expressed deep concern over the recurring loss of lives and destruction of property and agreed on the necessity to pursue justice for victims and establish a strong framework that reflects the values of courage, discipline, and patriotism associated with Plateau State.
