Tinubu Addresses Plateau State Security Crisis with Governor

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu convened a meeting with top security and intelligence chiefs in Abuja, summoning Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to discuss the worsening security situation in the state. This urgent consultation follows a recent attack in the Angwan Rukuba district, where gunmen reportedly killed at least 28 individuals and injured several others, raising fresh safety concerns in the state capital.

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of State for Security, briefed journalists on the federal government's coordinated response to contain the situation and prevent further escalation. Governor Mutfwang was invited to develop a joint strategy aimed at restoring peace in Plateau State.

The military and security agencies have intensified operations across vulnerable communities in the region, with a focus on tracking down the attackers. Idris emphasized the government's commitment to dismantling criminal networks and maintaining national security, while urging residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies.
