Nigerian Government Allocates N32.9bn for Healthcare Improvement

The Nigerian government, led by Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, disbursed N32.9 billion to states and primary healthcare centers as part of the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) 2.0 initiative.

The aim is to improve healthcare service quality and expand access to care. Notable achievements include 21 million Nigerians covered by health insurance, emergency medical treatment for pregnant women, and increased visits to primary healthcare centers.

The government is working closely with partners to strengthen the country's healthcare system. Preliminary data shows a 12% reduction in maternal mortality, indicating positive outcomes from healthcare reforms.
