Ex-Minister Dalung Slams Govt for Terrorist 'Celebrity Treatment' - Urges Citizens to Bear Arms

Former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, criticized the Nigerian government for treating terrorists and bandits like celebrities while leaving ordinary citizens vulnerable to attacks. In a Facebook post, Dalung highlighted the need for citizens to bear arms due to the collapse of the centralized security system.

He advocated for the establishment of state, local, and community police, along with a constitutional amendment to allow citizens to legally bear arms. Dalung emphasized the urgent need to decentralize policing in Nigeria to address the deteriorating security situation.

He pointed out that criminals openly wield sophisticated weapons during peace meetings, exposing the failure of the existing security architecture.
