Group Demands Probe into Alleged Sexual Abuse of Minor in Imo State

A coalition of child protection civil society organizations in Imo State has submitted a petition demanding an urgent investigation into the alleged serial sexual exploitation of an 11-year-old girl named Ginika Obodozi in the Umudiatu community of Orlu LGA. The petition accuses the Orlu police division of compromising the case and obstructing justice.

The girl's relatives believe she was repeatedly abused by multiple adult men due to her parents' inability to protect her. The coalition is calling for a fresh, unbiased investigation and the re-arrest of suspects.
